Course Requirements

for Crafting Your Herbal Practice

The course offers live virtual classes January 7 until March 25, 2025 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm ET each week. Registration opens in September 2025 with a generous discount for early registration. 

Crafting Your Herbal Practice is for you if you are ready to

  • Develop self-awareness about the many elements of a therapeutic relationship.

  • Create and hold a sacred, safe space for your client and yourself.

  • Improve your intake skills and create concise case studies.

  • Identify your core values around herb sustainability and conservation and access

  • resources to implement them in your practice.

  • Establish practice policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality

  • Implement safe apothecary practices: record keeping, sustainable sourcing,

  • compounding guidelines, etc.

  • Generate a working business plan, integrating tax planning, business entities,

  • liability insurance, waivers, and other business practices with your practice

  • vision.

Crafting Your Herbal Practice is for you if you have

  • Completed a foundation-level herb program that included herbs for specific body systems, basic energetics, herbal actions, and a working knowledge of the uses of at least 100 herbs.

  • Knowledge of the ethical and ecological issues inherent in herbal practice.

  • A basic understanding of the health assessment paradigm you will use to guide your herbal protocols (e.g., Western herbalism, folk medicine, inherited traditions, energetics, TCM, Ayurveda)

  • Completed a basic anatomy and physiology course or similar level of education.
